Jody’s work spans television, digital, podcasting and major streaming platforms.

He’s produced and directed high profile nature, adventure, and environmental documentaries for the BBC, AppleTV+, Disney+, National Geographic, and Discovery.

He’s best known for working at the BBC Natural History Unit, as a producer and director on the acclaimed documentary series Earth’s Great Rivers, traveling and filming the wildlife and people along some of the world’s mightiest rivers.

While he never forgets his extraordinary time on River Monsters with Jeremy Wade, exploring the world’s remotest waterways for one of Animal Planet’s and Discovery’s biggest ever shows.

Other notable work includes the critically acclaimed environmental documentary Chris Packham: In Search of the Lost Girl (BBC) and Super/Natural (Disney+), executive produced by James Cameron.

As a Development Executive at the BBC Natural History Unit, he developed some of the most ambitious and fresh ideas in the TV, film and digital market, collaborating with leading creative talent, including some of the world’s biggest YouTube creators.

He also founded Devfest, an ideas festival designed to sharpen ideas and make them happen.

Before this, he was a journalist, as the BBC’s Earth News Reporter.

He was also a podcast producer for BBC Radio 4. (Silver Sony Multiform Award).

When he was much younger, he presented a children’s wildlife podcast. Much to everyone’s amusement, it’s still available on Spotify.

He lives in Wales next to a river he walks every day.
